CABLE CAR INFO
23.04.2026
Current cableway info:
“Our cable car cabin shines in new splendor. It was recently renovated from the ground up. In consultation with the staff, the cable car is still available to our guests for material and passenger transport. Our part-time employees will gladly explain how to operate the cable car carefully. Please note that due to technical reasons, there may be an interruption in the cable car’s operation at any time. In such a case, the following alternative route is available:”
Our houses can be reached from our parking spaces at the cable car valley station or from our parking spaces to the west of the vineyard via a footpath in approx. 10 to 15 minutes.
Summer Heat Information
During the hot summer months, the heat may affect the cable car’s operation and cause temporary shutdowns. We kindly ask for your understanding, cannot be held liable for this, and remain in constant contact with our technician regarding the matter.
When the cable car is out of service, Tenuta Casa Cima can be reached via a municipal road that leads up to our property. Drive to: Via Costa Piatta, 6515 Gudo (drive to the end of the road, see directions) below. There is one parking space per holiday home. From there it is a walk of about 8 minutes along our vineyards.
We thank you for your understanding and look forward to you enjoying the wonderful nature in our car-free Tenuta to the full.
Your Tenuta Casa Cima Team
Cable Car Instructions
To ensure a smooth and safe ride, please read the following instructions carefully.
We kindly ask you to follow these guidelines so that future guests can also enjoy the cable car without any issues.
The cable car is private and available exclusively to the Foundation, Tenuta Casa Cima, and our guests.
Important information for our guests:
• Each house receives one key for the cable car.
• Our staff will personally explain how to operate it.
• ⚠️ At the lower station, the gate must always be fully closed — otherwise the cable car will not start.
How to use the cable car:
• Insert the key and turn it carefully to the right — only as far as it will go.
Do not force or over-turn the key, as this may damage the lock.
• Wait approximately 10 seconds.
Once the motor starts, press the green GO button.
You will hear a beep — at this point, the last person may enter the cabin.
Please close the door and keep it closed during the ride.
• Please do not press any other buttons, especially not the red STOP button.
This button is for emergencies only.
• Remain inside the cabin until it comes to a complete stop.
Wait a few seconds until the motor has fully stopped.
• Open the door carefully, exit the cabin, and make sure to close the door properly afterwards.
Please follow these instructions at both the lower and upper station.
“Never let children ride the cable car alone, there must always be someone present who knows how the cable car works, some mistakes have happened in the past, this is always associated with costs. Thank you for your understanding.”
Summary
- Misuse of this red emergency button costs money.
While the cable car is moving, the emergency button must not be pressed by anyone outside. - If the red emergency button is pressed, the cable car blocks immediately. If no one from the house is available, the person in the cable car must wait until someone arrives to release the cable car. Also, if the key for starting the cable car is misused, it can happen that the cable car blocks completely and we have to call the technician, which takes several hours and costs money. We have to charge these costs to the guest.
When the cable car is out of service, please drive to the
following parking possibility.
From there, walk up for about 8 minutes until you reach the houses.

In terms of quality, the Ronco dei Ciliegi is the master of our house. It is the result of real back-breaking work on grandfather’s ronco, the steep, terraced slope – a vast plot of land, typical of Sementina – which is marked by holiday memories from childhood on the Pian de la Scéresa; today our children still romp around on it. The blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon is our wine in every sense, from the Ronco to the Scerésa (the cherry grove), between work and pleasure, just as it combines both in its name.
